Thoughtcrime provides IT security education, hardware products, and technical consulting services. The information and services provided are for educational and informational purposes only.

Service Limitations

Thoughtcrime expressly does NOT:

• Provide investment advice or recommendations on specific assets
• Execute transactions on behalf of clients
• Receive or transmit orders for the purchase or sale of crypto-assets
• Provide custody or safekeeping services for crypto-assets or private keys
• Hold, manage, or have access to client funds or assets
• Provide advice on the acquisition, disposition, or holding of crypto-assets
• Guarantee the security of any system, tool, or technique
• Promise protection against all threats or attacks

Regulatory Status

Thoughtcrime is a trading name of Trend IT OÜ, registered in Estonia (Registry Code: 12637197, VAT: EE101824907) and provides technical education and IT services only. We are NOT:

• A Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under MiCA
• A licensed financial institution
• An investment adviser or broker
• A custodian of digital assets

Our services are limited to technical education and IT consulting. Any crypto-asset platforms introduced during our services are independent third-party providers. We do not provide, endorse, or guarantee their services.

Risk Acknowledgment

Clients engaging with our services should understand:

• Digital Asset Risks: Cryptocurrencies and digital assets are highly volatile and speculative. You may lose some or all of your investment.
• Self-Custody Risks: Managing your own private keys means you are solely responsible for their security. Lost keys typically cannot be recovered.
• Technology Risks: No security measure is perfect. Software vulnerabilities, hardware failures, and human error can occur.
• Regulatory Risks: Laws and regulations regarding digital assets vary by jurisdiction and may change.
• No Insurance: Unlike traditional financial accounts, crypto-assets are generally not insured by government programs.

Third-Party Services

We may reference or introduce third-party services, platforms, or products during our consultations. These references:

• Do not constitute endorsements or recommendations
• Are provided for educational purposes only
• May involve affiliate relationships (see our Affiliate Disclosure)
• Are subject to those third parties' own terms and conditions

You are responsible for conducting your own due diligence on any third-party services before using them.

Service Availability

Our services are not available to residents of, or persons acting on behalf of any person or entity in, sanctioned or embargoed jurisdictions, including but not limited to: Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, and the Crimea, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.

We reserve the right to decline service to any individual or entity at our sole discretion.

No Warranty

Services and information are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• Our services will meet your specific requirements
• Any security measure will be completely effective
• Information provided is complete, accurate, or current
• Any hardware or software will be free from defects

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Thoughtcrime shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, digital assets, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use our services
• Any unauthorized access to your devices or data
• Loss of cryptocurrency or digital assets
• Forgotten passwords or lost encryption keys
• Any third-party conduct or services
